Best of Intentions~

While hubby and I planned to work on clearing out the clutter in the basement this past weekend, the beautiful weather on Saturday (75 degrees and pure sunshine) derailed that game plan!  We spent the day downtown shopping.  Let's just say we paid IKEA and West Elm a little visit.

Sunday found us a church with plans to work on the basement after lunch.  That didn't happen either.  Enter a frantic phone call from our oldest child, barely recognizable for the sobs.  She was suffering an asthma/panic attack/migraine due to sinus congestion and a friend was taking her to the ER. So, we spent the day with her there.  She is doing much better.

Fast forward a day...little sister is still trying to shake off another migraine.  Guess where we were today...yup, yet another ER!!  She is doing much better thanks to the IV med protocal.  Hopefully she will be back to school tomorrow.

I  am hoping to get back to several projects I had to put on hold.  One involves a mini-makeover using this...

Here's hoping we are all back to our "normal" routine tomorrow!

You poor thing. That is so overwhelming. Hope the girls are feeling much better. Life sure can be unpredictable. I like what I am seeing in that picture!

Oh, I bet you'd love never to hear the word migraine again. I hope your girls are better- so hard for mom to see them hurting! Are you making pillows? Covering a chair?

I'm so sorry, friend!! I can't wait to see what you got at IKEA. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week! Praying for migraines to go away for good!

Oh no! Hope everyone is feeling back to normal now. Migraines are absolutely terrible! Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeves with that fabric!

Oh our weather was just awesome, wasn't it?! The last time I hit up Atlantic Station (day after Christmas) it was still snowy! So I'm sure you enjoyed the weather!

And so glad your girls are doing ok. No more trips to the ER!!! :)

Hi there! I landed here from another design blog (sorry, I've found so many the last few days, I can't remember which one! lol), and I'm glad I did. I thought I'd toss out that asthma is very often a sign of some kind of food intolerance or allergy. Dairy is a big culprit, as are gluten intolerance or celiac disease (both of which can cause serious problems if they go undetected). A simple elimination diet of 2-3 weeks is enough to let you know if dairy or gluten is the problem (or both of them). I know that dietary changes are difficult, but when you're dealing with debilitating migraines and potentially lethal asthma, it seems a small price.

Whatever you choose, may God's riches blessings rest on you and your family. :o) Have a wonderful week!
