My name is Lauren, and I am a stay at home mom-soon to be empty nester, of two beautiful girls. I have been married to my best friend for 20+ years. I was born a Yankee, but am a Southern girl at heart.
I enjoy decorating, gardening, diy projects, crafting and cooking. This blog is a little of each rolled into one. On some days, you may find me just talking about life in general as well...some days are just like that!
My goal is to create a simple yet beautiful home for my family and friends to enjoy.

Sigh... I am a Southern girl at hear too, despite being Canadian born and living back here again! But my years living in northern Virginia truly showed me a beautiful way of life and both my family and I miss it dreadfully!

I was born in NJ and summered on the Cape but now live in VA. A bunch of my "southern" friends think I might be a southern gall at heart. So glad I found your blog today!
