Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. We flew out to Texas on Thursday to visit with our youngest, and to attend Baylor SING 2014. The show once again did NOT disappoint. The sets, costumes, music, and dance moves are amazing. The amount of time and energy that the students devote to practice, set design, choreography, costumes, and the actual shows (6 in all) is mind boggling...they are FULL TIME college students after all (and a lot of this took place during mid terms!).
Our daughter is a Theta, and their theme this year was "Happily Never After"...think "Snow White backwards. They reversed the story line. Their set was incredible...no wonder they won for best set/theme interpretation. I wish I was able to get a pic, but no photography is allowed. They had a very haunted, dark set (quite different from all the others). They opened the show with Snow White in a clear casket, and then this beautiful voice came out of nowhere. It literally sent shivers down your spine. The night we saw them, they went on after a very upbeat performace with a theme of lifeguards (saving the gorgeous blonde!). When the curtain went up the entire audience took in a breath! Their costumes were amazing, but the make up was what was quite impressive. It was elaborate. Each girl had to report well ahead of time to get hair and make up done by a team that was trained to do so.
We were able to get a couple pics with her before the Friday night show.

Good morning, Lauren! Thank you for coming to visit today. It is sunny here, and it's a promise for at least an astonishing view of the world around me. Yes, that "bud" opens up daily, slowly...and when it finally is open, it is a miracle to behold. Happy day my friend, Anita
