A Couple Porch Additions and We Are Off...
This week flew by! Katie, our youngest had her wisdom teeth out a week ago today. She did great! And, we have been busy putting things together for our trip back to our home away from home, Waco, Texas. We fly out tomorrow morning. We will land in Austin, bright and early, and then hit up Ikea on our way back to her new "home away from home" for this fall to get her new room all set up! Quick trip...we fly in tomorrow and will be back home on Sunday!
We can't wait to see the duplex now that everything has received a good scrubbing and fresh coat of paint, along with brand new carpet. Let's just say...when her dad and I first saw the place a few months ago, we thought she had lost her mind. We could not envision our baby girl living in such a place. (who knew girls could be so messy). However, the transformation is amazing!
Can't wait to share her decorating journey along the way. She is going with a white, navy and coral color palette.
Enjoy your weekend!!

VBS Reflection & The Weekend Ahead~
This quote sums up how my youngest and I feel at the end of teaching anywheres from 11-17 (yes 17) 3 year olds this week at our church's Vacation Bible School. We had a BLAST! The theme this year was Colossal Coaster Ride-think theme park on steroids! So much fun was had by all. The kids showed up each day eager to explore, sing, craft, and learn about Jesus & God. Our theme song will forever be stuck in my head...picture this...we are all set to ride the gigantic roller coaster...and the first line is "EVERYBODY SAY WEEEEE!!!!!" YES, THEY WERE HOOKED FROM DAY ONE! We however are now singing it in our sleep.
I am always amazed by the younger crowd (2-5s)...they are like little sponges absorbing EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. Even though most squirmed the entire time the Bible story was being told, when asked what we talked about the day before, or two days before, or even three days before, they remembered EVERYTHING!!!!
A touching story, and one that makes it all worth while for a teacher...our verse for the week was "God helps me. I will not be afraid. Hebrews 13:6" One of the children's mothers stopped by and said, "I just have to tell you...she was out in the yard with her dad last night. A bee kept flying around them. Her dad told her not to worry or be afraid, it would be okay. She turned to her dad and said, "God helps me, I will not be afraid"...and then quoted the book and number of the verse! Dad was speechless!!!
I wanted to cry...they GOT IT!!!
They have one more day of Bible School...sadly we won't be there to experience the grand finale (the youngest is having her wisdom teeth out sharply at 9AM!), but we are thrilled to hear that 54, 54 children, accepted the Lord Jesus Christ this week! Many of whom are not members of our church, but were invited by friends.
My thoughts going in..."if this makes a difference in even ONE child's life, it is all worth it." However, we touched close to 500 little lives this week. AMAZING!!!
Praying everyone has a wonderful weekend.
To my fellow Georgia bloggers...I pray all survived today's storms unharmed!

Friday Flowers~
A little bit of spring on a rainy day...
Picked up these cute hand towels at HomeGoods...love the bright fun colors for summer. And, the best part (at least for my oldest), they came in sets of two...a set for me and a set for her!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. We are expecting storms this evening. Boo...we had plans to attend an outdoor concert in the park.
The candle is from Anthro-Avocado & Mint. Smells so yummy! |

Gearing up for this...
First, a very heartfelt thank you for all of the sweet comments and prayers left for us after the loss of Tyler. We miss him everyday. He was such a sweet soul, and a huge part of our family. However, we know he is in a better place and no longer in pain. Our two others are keeping us and each other company.
My youngest and I are gearing up for Vacation Bible School next week. She will be helping me teach a group of fifteen 3 years olds along with two other moms. We have been busy this week planning, cutting, scheming, etc. Should be a lot of fun.
So, if I don't post much over the course of next week you will know why. I will be taking a much needed afternoon nap each day...I forgot how active 3 years old are!!
If I get a chance to complete a project, I hope to squeeze in a post or two.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
