Going, going, gone!

Despite the rain Friday morning, the garage sale was a success. It feels soooo good to be rid of the clutter, or to "decrapify" as Sarah (Thrify Decor Chick) would say. A fresh start is ALWAYS good!

Yard Sale Day Has Arrived and It's Raining!

Woke to the sound of thunder and pouring down rain. Considering we were in the midst of a severe drought just a short time ago, I normally would welcome the sound. But, not when it's yard sale day!! Hubby promises me it will be outta here by the time we open the doors. Fingers crossed.

Yard Sale Tomorrow!

As Sarah (Thrifty Decor Chick) would say, "we have spent the last month decrapifying!" The yard sale starts tomorrow and runs through Saturday afternoon. I am so excited! While yard sales are a lot of work, I am always happy once they are over. A clean slate, and a few dollars in the pocket are ALWAYS a good thing!

April Showers Bring May Flowers~

And, boy did we get some April showers. We have had tons of rain this year. Quite a change from just a year ago when we were in the midst of the worst drought in history!

Springtime Visitors~

We've had quite a few springtime visitors to our backyard. My youngest daughter has enjoyed taking pictures of them.

I've started the process of painting our back staircase. Something I've been meaning to tackle for a few months now. Let's just say...I was seriously dreading the "DUST"!!!! The stairs are spackled and sanded, and awaiting a fresh coat of paint. I am off to the paint store in the morning! Will post before and afters when the project is complete.
